Skilled Administrative and Management Professional with 35 Years' Experience
Maribel "Mari" Hernandez relocated to Jacksonville over 30 years ago from the New York/New Jersey area. Mari has over 35 years business experience in local government, corporate and non-profit sectors. In addition to owning her own business, she also serves as the Director of Religious Education at her church.
Mari has an MBA from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Florida and an Associate of Arts from Florida State College. She has been very active in the community for over 25 years having served on several Boards and active with a number of volunteer and professional organizations including past president of the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Jacksonville Women’s Network and the First Coast Multilingual Toastmasters as well as past Chairman of the Jacksonville Urban League and PACE Center for Girls.
Mari is the recipient of many awards over the years including the Hispanics Achieving Community Excellence Award, Heart of Gold Award, Community Leader and the U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award. She is an award-winning public speaker and received the Distinguished Toastmaster award from Toastmasters International as well as the JAX Chamber Professional Women’s Council Women’s Advocate of the Year.
